Although that admittedly looks delicious, I personally would have saved myself tons of calories by either not having the tortilla shells or having 1 slightly larger one stuffed as a burrito.

You're not going to save a ton of calories omitting tortillas, you'd save a lot more omitting the guac. Not that she asked for anyone's input...

I'm definitely including guacamole (that I've mixed cream cheese and sour cream into) so I can get all those healing fats. :) I've set my calorie intake high and def omitting tortillas to keep carb count super low. A winning combo my body is loving.

I'm not doing a keto diet. I'm basically counting calories. I try to keep my fat around 20%, my carbs around 45% and protein around 35% of my caloric intake. This works for me and is something that I can do forever. It's more about moderation than anything else.

This was less than 550 calories and it was my largest meal of the day. I normally do 3 tacos instead of 4 but I was extra hungry, so I ate. I still stayed under my calorie goal for the day. In my opinion, it's about balance, not depravation.

I love guacamole. We make it at home really simply. Avocado, tomato, onion, jap, cilantro, lime juice, a pinch of salt and pepper. Basically make Pico and add it to mushed up avocado (:

Nice plan Coachkitty. Keto has no metabolic advantage despite what most on this particular site follow. I am also following a lifestyle diet, and a life without carbs is no life for me, especially tortillas, lol

Yes! Thanks (: I want to lose body fat, not "weight" and I want to build muscle. Muscle requires carbs to repair and build. I don't believe in depriving myself. Plus, I know things are always going to come up, so learning to balance is the best way to get long term results that will stick (:
