This time of year, in Virginia, we get these BIG California navel oranges in the grocery stores. I used to eat at least two of those per day, every time they would show up in the stores. Yesterday, at Walmart, they had those big beauties. (I had already resisted the BIG bag of them at BJ's!) So, I picked out what I thought looked like the "best" one, and I bought it. Just now, I peeled it and weighed it in grams on my kitchen scale. 202 grams. So, I divided all the sections (there were 12), and I ate SIX sections, and am storing the other 6 for tomorrow. Just the HALF of an orange added 10.47 Net Carbs to my daily total, but I got what I really wanted, and I can still stay within my macros for the day. It is VERY hard for me to refrain from having fresh fruit in season. At least, by planning ahead, I was able to enjoy something I love without blowing my weight-loss goals.

I've already had ALL my fiber for the day, btw (26.4g)! And, I'm starting my 2nd liter of water (and it's not quite noon yet). Looking promising for a successful day.
