Oh, I have been bad. I just have not paid attention to what I have been eating. Also, after throwing my back out, my activity level dropped dramatically. I have gained back weight, undoing most of the progress I had made.
Today, I have been coming to terms with my situation and formulating a plan to get life back on track. Here are the steps I plan to take: Beginning tomorrow, I will get back to my food journal. That helps me immensely to see the numbers and how this or that snack or junk affects the total calories I consume in a day. I will weigh in tomorrow morning. I have set an even more challenging goal for myself and I will work to get to that. I will get back to the gym and I will also try out lap swim at the Y within the next week. I will also talk to my friend Daniela about her weight loss to hopefully get some inspiration from her success.
I've got my work cut out for me, but I know what has worked for me before. I just have to rededicate myself to getting the job done. I don't like feeling flabby and lazy. Summer is coming and I don't want to worry about how my butt looks when I get into the pool or if I should really wear those shorts. I want to feel healthy and energetic and I know that eating better and exercising will give me that.
