It is difficult for me to eat the right food and amounts when visiting others. My self discipline is not good with my friends. If I have 2 measures of alcohol as well, my discipline is even worse.

Just as difficult for me. I can reasonably cope with the food, but as soon as the alcohol is involved that 'reasonably' changes to not at all. Having drinks with friends tonight so I am debating what to take between white wine, whiskey or vodka. Just have no clue what to mix with vodka so will probably end up going with whiskey.
