Well, I've reached 2 full weeks of Atkins without binging or falling off the wagon. This may not sound like much, but it's awesome for me. After the first few days, I found that my hunger has all but disappeared. I can go several hours without feeling the least bit hungry. I've lost 12 pounds so far, which I certainly can't argue with!

I have to say that it feels really good to make a positive and proactive change in my lifestyle/eating habits, rather than just feeling awful about myself and wishing things were different.

I'm keeping my eye on my goal of 145, which is VERY fit for me. I haven't been that fit since high school (10 years ago), although I did get down to 150 pounds a few months after my second child was born. I couldn't stay there, though. In my mind, because I looked and felt better, I had more room to binge and eat whatever I wanted...and naturally I gained it all back and then some.

I'm really trying hard to change my unhealthy relationship with food. I can't wait to be in shape, feel good about myself and kick some butt in softball this summer!

Getting those processed, nutritionally void carbs out of your diet is the first step to a lifetime of being at a healthy weight and good health. You must commit to this as a lifestyle change and not just a temporary diet. If you go back to the way you used to eat after you lose your weight you WILL gain it all back because that is what made you heavy to begin with. You've already made a big step towards your goals, keep up the good work!!

Way to go! 12 pounds is no small feat and you know it's the right thing to do. You can be proud. I love that "Im not even hungry"feeling. Keep up the good work!
