Well, I've reached 2 full weeks of Atkins without binging or falling off the wagon. This may not sound like much, but it's awesome for me. After the first few days, I found that my hunger has all but disappeared. I can go several hours without feeling the least bit hungry. I've lost 12 pounds so far, which I certainly can't argue with!
I have to say that it feels really good to make a positive and proactive change in my lifestyle/eating habits, rather than just feeling awful about myself and wishing things were different.
I'm keeping my eye on my goal of 145, which is VERY fit for me. I haven't been that fit since high school (10 years ago), although I did get down to 150 pounds a few months after my second child was born. I couldn't stay there, though. In my mind, because I looked and felt better, I had more room to binge and eat whatever I wanted...and naturally I gained it all back and then some.
I'm really trying hard to change my unhealthy relationship with food. I can't wait to be in shape, feel good about myself and kick some butt in softball this summer!
