Overuse injury to my foot has me off track somewhat. I am still getting a good calorie burn in on most days, but doc said to stay out of the gym and off my foot for a couple of days and I haven't made it back through the door yet. I have resumed full activity--lots of walking and Zumba, but I really need to get back on the weights. I will probably be back to my starting weights since it has been two weeks since I was on the machines, but that's okay. At least, that's what I tell myself. Part of me doesn't want to face the setback, the other part of me is chastising my reluctance to get back in the gym already! Still fighting with myself. . . On the upside, I have stayed within my eating plan more often than not, and I feel good about my choices to eat right and exercise more. It has been four months since I started this journey and I have lost 25 pounds. A few of those pounds I have lost then gained then lost again, along the way, but for the most part, the number on the scale continues to go down. On the downside, I am between sizes to the point where some of my clothes have become unwearable and some of my clothes have become wearable again. Whether too big, just right, or a bit too tight, nothing fits the way it's supposed to so getting dressed is still a pain. Yet another work in progress. Overall, feeling better, looking better, and playing better.
