Bought some healthier snack choices today and also a box of "snack-size" baggies to make "grab and go" servings to keep in the cupboards. I also bought a killer new digital food scale to take the guess work out of portion/serving sizes. Eating was much better today with the exception of the chocolate chip cookie I ate for breakfast. It was sitting there on the counter and I barely blinked then found the yummy goodness in my mouth. But just one, and it didn't derail my day. I made good choices throughout, but I may have to rethink the Costco size bag of dried fruit and nut mix--it is a HUGE bag and I LOVE to eat it. When I weighed out a portion I was VERY disappointed with how small that 140 calories turned out to be. Oh well, I suppose I will adjust to this also. Going to bed earlier tonight to deter the late night goody-seeking. Back to work tomorrow which always makes this eating right thing easier to deal with.

Take the cookies off the counter! Good idea measuring stuff out. I tend to rely on prepackaged stuff like snack bars, and that is expensive too. I am overseas, and so envious of you and your Costco! I reckon it is also good I dont have huge tubs of trail mix around, because I love it too! Anyway, good luck. Just log what you eat and be mindful of it and magic will start happening.

I took the last two cookies off the counter AND ATE THEM!!!!! At least they r all gone now. *sigh* Still did a lot of walking/shopping today so my actvity was up. Tomorrow my mini-challenge will be to beat the temptations and stay under my new RDI.

I dont know if you have kids or not, its usually my kids snacks that get me into trouble! Glad the cookies are gone! Thats a good way to do it "one day at a time". Sometimes it has to be 1 hour at a time. I can not eat that cookie for one hour, lol. Once you string a few together, your doing great!
