Hi Everyone. I am new to Fatsecret. I was looking for an online calories counter and stumbled upon this site. I am a mom and wife, 54 years old. I have watched my weight creep up over the years and have not had the willingness to work toward losing the wight steadily. I will lose 5...gain 8. And on it goes. I have issues with aching joints, limited mobility, depression.....most of it stemming from carrying around so much weight. I find myself starting to avoid certain social situations because of the embarrassment I feel about how I look. After attending a recent social activity, I saw a picture posted on Facebook of me at the event. I was stunned. I looked huge. I looked bloated and so unhealthy. I had no idea that I looked so fat! It was shocking and humiliating. I even considered asking my friend to remove the photo from her Facebook page. But I am using that photo as my motivation to finally start eating healthy. I finally feel a sense of determination that has been laciking for years. Wish me luck! :-)
