Hey there :) Today was not nearly as rough as I thought it would be!

So, I've been really stressed recently about school stuff. Namely, my Honors class. It's a long story, so I won't get into too much of it here, but I've been doing pretty poorly, and the workload is intense. Still, I am determined to turn things around, even if it kills me...although I still have a week to drop it if I decide it's too much. Which it might be.

But anyways! On to other stuff. We just started a volleyball unit in my gym class, and I am loving it! Sure, we aren't using a proper volleyball, but it's still really fun and active. Our coach had us run a couple laps around the gym to warm up, which worried me at first, as I'm not much of a runner. A year ago-- heck, a few months ago, I wouldn't have been able to make it around the gym once. But today? I made it around the gym twice without stopping, although I was a bit hard up for air towards the end. Progress, my friends! My team also won 3/4 games, so that was great. Tomorrow, I plan to get to the gym in the morning and use the time to read one of my books for class.

Food wise, I've been making pretty good choices today, although I've had a few too many carbs. Lunch in the cafeteria was pretty good-- they were serving tacos, and to cut out a few carbs I opted out of getting any kind of tortilla in favor of a bit of rice. I wish I had had more fresh fruits or veggies, though! Dinner tonight might be another wrap, or some salmon and spinach, we'll see what I have time to whip up.

There are some other stresses in my life right now, but I am doing my best to work past them. Hopefully my appointment with the counselor on Friday will be helpful. I was able to spend a couple of hours working on costumes for H University's spring musical, which was a nice, semi-relaxing activity. The rest of the night should be dedicated to a Dorm Meeting and a bit of homework-- but we'll see how well I stick to that schedule! Lol

The hardest part of forming a new habit? Sticking to it.

Good for you on the running! I have never wanted to be a runner, considering I've pretty much been overweight my whole life. But now... maybe there's a runner inside of me that just hasn't come out yet!
