OK, I admit I don't know if I can lose this 8 lbs again. Is there anyone out there that will buddy with me and give me the added kick in the butt I need to get the job done. I am and have been a care given, going on the 2nd year now, and the stress is just about to take its toll. Her family gives me a 2hr. break every day, they leave and then there are 22 hours left. I dont mean to complain but just leaving the house for a walk has to be scheduled. I have no control over anything in my life plus I havent had an uninterrupted nights sleep since the 1st of Oct. this year. Up every four hours and then some in between. Depression has set in and its showing in my weight. Weight I promised myself would never be regained. I know what I need to do but just dont seem able to get the job done.

Sounds to me like losing weight is the least of your problems.

I think "care giver" role is the toughest job. I also find it just about impossible to keep my weight down if I'm not getting enough sleep. Being tired makes me crave carbs. Is there any way for you to get more of a break??? One day off per week? Something?? Hang in there. You're doing the hard stuff.

Maybe try making it a family walk or a kids adventure it sounds hard but family means working together and sometimes thats the hard part nothing worth while comes easy.

Is this a job or your own family? Is it possible to talk to the others about what's going on? Weight is just a symptom of what's going on. I'm more concerned for your health, physical and mental, than your actual weight. I think care giving is one of the hardest things a person can do and 2 years is an awful long time without a break. Please take care of yourself, or you won't be able to take care of anyone else. Prayers sent.
