It seems I may have to shift my goals a little with the aim to lose at least 20kg by 31st December 2016. Will have a chat with my trainer today and put together a plan to see if this is feasible.

Sounds good. My 15 year old son is super skinny and wants to gain some muscle. I told him how much protein you eat to give him an idea. Now he's on Fatsecret to gain some weight slowly. I am encouraging him to not eat so many Indo Mi instant noodles! He has been doing weight training for a while now.

Thanks, Being on Fatsecret is good. They say if you can't measure it you can't manage it. If he wants to gain muscle he will need to increase both Protein and Carbs but I remember the noodles they were a life saver at Uni and I thought the world of them. Now I know better.

Thanks! Yeah, my boy loves his noodles. It is great that he now has an incentive to eat a bit better and more variety since he wants to gain muscle. I keep telling him about eating protein as well. He wasn't too keen on the omelette I made him with extra whey protein powder. I warned him about needing some fibre too. He likes apples and potatoes, so that's something! He does love red meat, cold cuts and eggs. So I think he'll do well. :)
