Fasting for 24hrs. Last meal was 6:30 last night, next meal will be at 6:30 tonight.

I think my metabolism is already broken. =( lol I've been reading about fasting and how its supposed to be something we were doing before we became lazy city dwellers so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a struggle though! I'm thinking about making toast as I write this lol. >.<

I'm considering intermittent fasting too. The results people have had look promising, weight loss wise and health wise. Just 4hrs to go till I can break my fast! ^_^

I do IF at times. I fast for 16hrs with a 8 hr window gap to eat. Hope your plan goes to plan..

Looking at your profile it seems you are at the beginning of your weight loss and you are pretty much 500g lighter than I was when I started 6 weeks ago. My advice is this. At the beginning of the weight loss get a body scan for $30. It will tell you how many calories your body needs at rest after taking into account your body composition. Now weight loss is a long journey that can be difficult as well as challenging but rewarding. Before turning to fasting as a weight loss measure I would first of all eat as much as I can, an amount equal to Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and keep at this as long as you are losing weight. You can adjust down if you feel you have reached a weight-loss plateau. By fasting I fear your body will go into protection mode and slow down your metabolism which is counter-productive. I also think at this stage fasting is not yet necessary as you need to feel good and energetic if you are going to stay the course Hope my 2cents helps. All the best in your journey.

Thanks for the advice Eightpac. Where do you get a body scan? You're doing really well on your weight loss journey. =)

Not a problem, For Scan You could ask local gyms. In what city are you located. You should try to get the InBody 570 (that is the machine name) scan if you can. Otherwise if you cannot get this you can do a manual calculation.

Not a problem. Looking at what you ate yesterday I must say you have strong will power. I would suggest getting at least 100g of protein spread through 4 meals. This will keep you fuller for longer and preserve muscle you have in your body. You need this muscle to keep up your metabolism. My worry is that if you lose muscle your metabolism will be permanently lowered so if you stop your diet you will rebound back twice as fast. All the best and keep it up

Yeah I was determined to stick to it. Not sure if it was beneficial at all but I felt like I accomplished something I never thought I could do. I know I've lost a lot of muscle for sure. I used to feel so strong, now I feel so weak and lose my balance a lot too. Would 100g of protein over 3 meals still work the same as if I had it over 4? Also, can I ask what you mean by permanently lowered? Does this mean it can never go back to normal again?
