So...I injured the big toe on my left foot yesterday. Never had had such a large deep flap of skin gone. OW. This sucks to say the least. Exercising hasn't been a priority of late, but now I can't really do anything comfortably or safely and I'm pissed. Really need to focus on calorie counting, but I don't even feel like doing really...

Ouch! Definitely be careful to keep that from turning into a serious infection. Rest up for a bit, and let your body heal your foot. Calorie counting really works. Good luck!

Thank you, kpwcalories. I saw someone for my toe and have instructions on the care of my wound and I have a follow up appointment already scheduled. Happily the nail was undamaged and if I'm lucky so was the nail bed. Freaked me out that he admitted that at first glance he thought he would have to remove the nail, but it ended up not being as bad as he thought. Makes me whimpery thinking about it, though. >.<
