AFFIRMATION
If its any consolation to those who struggle with cravings, want some good old junk food, and see so many having success and wondering: "why not me?" know this: I bet everyone here who has been successful losing weight and changing exercise habits would agree that cravings still hit and some days are better than others. The past couple of days Ive wanted me some junk! I was in line at the market today, holding my apple and coffee and being all jealous about the dude behind me with the Jumbo hot dog slathered in cheese and jalapenos. I jokingly said" Man, YOU are doing it right!" and he looked at me and my silly little apple and said: "No, YOU are doing it healthy, that's what I need to be doing" Now, that hot dog still looked freakin' GOOD, but what he said felt pretty good too!
I allow myself a treat, some junk once in a while. I take a spike day most weeks, and it seems to work. We are all just humans changing habits here. Change is hard, but routine gets easier. Hang in there buddies! Thanks for letting me ramble!

LOL I can totally relate, Mike. I've had insane cravings these last few evenings. Stay-AWAY-from-the-ice-cream! :)

Great journal entry. For me the key has been moderation and planning. If your gonna eat junk don't eat much of it, unless you've been planning it and have worked it into your calorie counts. Keep up the good work! Kingkeld - you might try some of the Edy's Slow Churned Yogurt Blends. Significantly less calories than ice cream and ( at least to me ) tastes as good as the real stuff. Tastes much better than the fat free ice cream.

Yep. I eather eat the crud (and really, not a lot of it) on a spike day, or I "save up calories" for it. Thanks for the replies. Im a "Skinny Cow" man myself.

Skinny Cows, Orange Dream bars, and the slow churned yogurt blends. The best ice cream substitutes I've found.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Sadly, I live in Denmark where there is no real tradition of doing low calorie foods like in the US. I have this, or regular ice cream. There are yoghurts but they simply don't do the same for me. It's cool though. I like my ice cream, I'm losing weight like a mad man and I can easily fit in the calories. :)
