I hope the scales at the gym do not match the ones here at work. According to the ones here, it says that i have gained 1/2 pound. If I have gained, I hope that it is muscle weight and not fat because I dont see how it can be fat. anyway we will see in about 30 minutes. If so, I am NOT a happy camper.

well i guess i cant be mad. i didnt gain but i didnt lose either. same weight as last week. dont know if it is muscle weight or what. maybe next week. I know i have been under more stress this week than normal so i hit the machines at the gym extra hard trying to rid myself of the stress.

That small amount can also be caused by different clothing, if you don't wear exactly the same thing for every weigh in. Even something as minor as a different T-shirt can affect the scale measurement. And as we have discussed here, something the scale is simply perverse! (lol)In other words, you probably don't need to worry about a single weigh-in with just a 1/2 lb. difference unless it continues to be a trend.

no. i wear the same clothes when i weigh in. even my measurements went up. i really am not a happy camper now.

It seems that you are doing a lot of hard work and it is very easy to put on .5 lbs just in water weight, even eating a mango, etc. The best way to really determine your healthy weight is by a fat % test and the best method is DEXA (Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry).

THe scale doesn't tell the complete truth when it comes to your body fat as it is only a number and the fat % is much more important as you mentioned you could be putting on muscle. See if your gym has something to determine your body fat% and maybe you can check it out on a more regular basis. Keep in mind that many body fat scales can be off up to 5%. Just a thought.
