Fasting and Periods

So I've been fasting 16:8 which has been challenging at first but quickly become OK. I'm still working through what, when and how much to eat during the 8 hours that I do. Mainly to reduce my awful dawn syndrome but also to make sure I get enough nutrition from my meals.

This has come to a head with my period starting. I'm monitoring how I feel closely and will eat *if* I need to. My main concern is that I need more iron-rich foods as I'm anemic and my energy levels are weird anyway during the red tide...

P.S Some hospitals have terrible vending and catering options! No fresh fruit or salads, basically everything they tell us not to eat - chips, stodge, chocolate, crisps and sugary drinks. Though they did have free water... whoop!

Thanks! I have a google sheet with all my stuff in as I also track my blood glucose. I have a feeling I'll bounce up and down this week with my period, so preparing myself not to be disappointed.
