Day 3.... Loving this! SO thankful I moved in the LCHF direction, and the 16:8 IF also! No more forcing myself to eat a big breakfast as soon as I wake up when I wasn't even hungry. It is very natural for me. And the foods I am eating are delicious, and exactly what I love. (Big ole salads with tons of chicken/salmon, nuts, avo, blue cheese, balsamic....YUM!) It is clear that my body is reacting well to this way of eating also. I know my weight loss will not continue at this rate, but it is nice to have a chunk of lbs come off so quickly, and this WOE is so natural to me, that it will be easy to sustain. It will be super easy to keep the protein up, but would love ideas to add (healthy) fats.

Butter, lol. And Cream Cheese and Coconut Oil and Avacado(In moderation). My 4 GOTO products when I need more fat. lol.

Thanks Knuckles! I actually bought some clarified butter today and will start using it along with Coconut oil for cooking. And I love avos... cream cheese is a great idea too.

EVOO, coconut oil and avocados are my go to for healthy fats. Glad to see you're doing so well! I think I'm going to like IF too. It's odd, because I do get hungry, but it's a good type of hungry. Does that even make sense? I think it's actually teaching me how to know the difference between "hunger" and ACTUAL hunger.

Jess, you nailed it right there, there is a difference between actual hunger and that nagging noisy it's time to eat, we should eat, it's eating time feeling.

LCHF is the most effective strategy I'm aware of, eating healthy and satisfying foods and forgoing the empty calorie carby and sugar heavy foods really should be intuitive, I'm glad you've discovered it!

Couldn't be happier for you. I am LCHF as well. I know they say not to count calories, but I still do. My body doesn't know when it's full, although I'm getting better at figuring it out. I do 16:8 totally naturally. No need for breakfast, just a good cup of coffee, then bacon, eggs, avocado around 1pm and then dinner around 7pm. It's all yummy, satisfying and feels fabulous to drop those pounds. Good for you!

Great news Laura!! We use avocado oil now in almost all of our salads, even Caesar and Greek salads, we like it way better than olive oil which was our go to salad oil before...my wife has even substituted it in place of vegtable oil in a muffin recipe with yummy success. Lighter taste and better for us, win, win.

Thanks for all the ideas, buddies! @jess and @debra, I agree. I think the key for me is to learn when I am actually hungry. The 16:8 is helping me really enjoy my food more, knowing I am eating to fuel my body, and not just to satisfy my old "time to eat" habit. I love all the support here <3

@Frankie...great idea eating breakfast food at 1! Gonna try that. @Steven...I've never used avo oil. Gonna try that too. :) @ Phil...so true! My body is so satisfied with all the fat and protein, that I'm not really craving the carbs. The key for me is going to be mixing it up, and not getting in a rut with the same meals. I do like variety.

We buy Chosen foods 100% pure Avacado oil at Costco, tastes great and way cheaper than some markets.
