Good morning all,

It is Friday, the 13th..not sure if that will be a good thing or a bad thing...Got a question...the last couple of days after i have ate breakfast, i have kind of got a little nauseated. I have heard that if you consume too much protein that could happen. Has anyone ever had that happen to them? I usually eat a boiled egg, 1/2c cottage cheese (4% fat), 1/2 avocado. Help please.

Do you drink water first thing? I eat a couple of eggs every day with no nausea. But I have felt nauseous when I'm dehydrated.

Do you eat avocado on a regular basis? It contains a fiber/fat, so maybe if you just added this it could be that.

Water first thing always makes me feel like that but my husband drinks it every morning with no issues.

I do not think it is too much protein - it sounds like a great balance between fats and proteins. I have a hard time with dairy - maybe try two eggs and 1/2 avocado one morning and leave off the cottage cheese and see how you feel.

Check your blood sugar...it could be a bit of low glucose causing it, given your starting and current weight, I would guess some issues with blood sugar. This is not to say eat sugar to offset it, just check it, be aware of it, and adjust your diet to normalize blood sugar throughout the day.

Everybody's body is different, you have to find what works for you. I find that ice cream makes me happy so that works for me, however it is very bad so I have to stay away from it.

John, the last time i went to the doctor, my blood sugar was good. i make sure it gets checked because diabetes runs in my family.

Diabetes is not hereditary, however, poor familial eating traits are. If you blood sugar is normalized without medication congratulations!

Your sisters and brother ate their way to Type II and it can be reversed through diet changes and intermittent fasting. For your High Blood Pressure: 1. Cut your carbs...you're doing great at that so far 2. Increase your intake of Potassium, Magnesium, and Calcium. Either through supplements or foods. 3. Increase Fat intake..real grass fed butter (Kerrigold), Whole Milk, Cheese, Full Fat Yogurts, Lard, Avocado Oil 4. Eat fatty fish 1-2x per week. Your foods are looking good as you have them...add more fat. Sugar is sugar from any source. If it is broken down in the gut it really doesn't matter if it's from fruit or candy..it's sugar. Doesn't mean you can't or should not have fruits, just avoid pure fruit juice and go as you are, which is to eat the fruit itself.

John, the only fish that i can stomach enough to eat is flounder and i am starting to like salmon if it is seasoned right. i dont do seafood. I eat 1/2 avocado a day but you are saying to also take the avocado oil?
2016년 05월 13일 작성이: NavymomT
If you eat 1/2 avocado a day, that's great....people are often turned off by "fishiness" of fish, Salmon is a good alternative, as is Cod and Flounder, both clean, mild, white flesh. Look at any cooking oils you use..if you have Vegetable based oils, swap out for some lard or Avocado Oil, both of which can be used at high temperatures

I would say it is nearly impossible for anyone to give you confidence information on the way you are feeling the one thing I would suggest is that if you have kept inaccurate food log go back and look and see if you find something that you have changed either an amount or in terms of a new food you have added to your way of eating and see if that occurred at the time of these new feelings

we only cook with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. i quit buying vegetable oil a long time ago and very rarely do we fry anything any more. Bear, honestly i am starting to feel better about everything that has gone on in my life for the last several weeks. I will see how i do over the weekend. But right now, i am doing good. Thanks a bunch...

Check your EVO, 67% of EVO is adulterated with Vegetable Oil with newer estimates putting that figure at closer to 80%. Olive Oil does not have a long shelf life and once it became popular, there was money to be made. Google this "how to tell if your olive oil is fake" the first couple of links have some good information

Mahjohn, we must have the same resources :) Still have never been to a gym

A gym is not essential for weight loss...now if you want to build stronger bones and maintain muscle mass for later life, then weight lifting is essential, whether at a gym or not.
