the last couple of days have been H on my nerves...if its not one thing its three. between my knee and something that happened to me personally...I am so ready for this week to be in the past....
@JP, could i msg you personally and get your opinion about something later tonight after i get through working out?

Mom, When the world is weighing on your shoulders, try doing what I do.(Weather allowing) throw on some shorts and a tee shirt. Go outside and just sit down in the grass and listen. I close my eyes and just sit there quietly and think about nothing but the breeze and the birds and the bugs all living around me. And how they don't give a rats hairy patoot about me. I sit there and just soak up a few minutes of sunlight and exist. Its SOOOO peaceful. It helps to let go of what hurts.

Second day working out on my knee and so far no issues...it feels good and today i didnt use the knee brace. i walked 27 mins on the treadmill at an average of 2.8 miles an hr. Then i worked on the ab machine for 3 reps of 25 ea at 45 lbs. so that is an improvement over what i did yesterday. i just hope the scale is nice to me tomorrow when i go weigh

That's faster than I walk at the gym, what has your Heart rate been when walking?
you should aim for 117 Beats per minutes for maximum fat burning for your age. When you go higher you get into glucose burning territory. That's not what you want. Unless you are just trying to increase lung capacity and heart muscle tone. But you get that from 117 BPM also. And can go for longer if you like.

the average of the heart rate if i work out on the machines before walking is about 136. if i walk first, my heart rate is about 123

I would walk first. It warms your heart up for lifting and doesn't put as much of a strain on your cardio Vascular system. And it gives your Diaphragm and lungs a good pre stretch for lifting.

and when i am on the treadmill shoot for what speed?
