Lately I have been working more on things revolving around my Cherokee ancestry. I have been teaching myself Cherokee, reading more on the history and culture and, for the better and worse, looking more into traditional cooking. There are a lot of things involving fish, poultry, beans and vegetables. I have also showed my mom and sisters just how good my bannock is. Well, now we have a big batch of bannock in the kitchen. Fortunately they are extremely low sugar, and by extremely low, I mean zero. And they are made with whole wheat flour instead of white so they aren't bad on calories and are great for days like today where I simply didn't get enough calories and was crashing. My sisters love my bannock for a dessert (covered in powdered sugar and dipped in hot chocolate) and I looooove a piece of it smothered in chilli <3 Anyway, that's all for now. ᎣᏍᏓ ᏒᎯᏰ ( goodnight!)
