I gained 0.2 pounds this week. I ranged 2.6 pounds from my highest to my lowest. Or another way to look at it I was down 1.4 for a couple of days and up 1.2 for a couple of days. As far as calories go (always keeping in mind there is human error in counting calories - I do try to be consistent but not always successful!) I averaged at the top end of my window but within the window.

Generally given the data of the calories and my general consistency in my calories (no super high or low days - highest day I was 30 calories over my top end and lowest day I was 40 calories under my bottom end the rest were in range) I would have expected a pound loss or a bit less. The gain, even a modest one, was unexpected. I will say my highest day was yesterday so that may have skewed the numbers!

This past week was entirely getting ready to be gone for two weeks. I had two different board papers to put together so I will be ready literally the day I get back to report!

I did my personal year end (I am a retired teacher and my year begins Sept 1!) to look at how I fared on each of my 8 categories or goals. Very useful but time consuming exercise. I do this each month but it is interesting to look at it from the viewpoint of a year. Then I made my new goals and general monthly plans as to how I will accomplish them.

Finally it was getting my yard ready for winter. My garden is 'put away', my lawn has been mowed for the last time this season, furniture is being put into buildings, etc.

I am going to be gone for two weeks and may not be 'reporting' in while I am gone. I will be staying aware of what I am doing and keeping track the best that I can. I am going to Calgary to see a friend, to Victoria with my daughter to see my son and his wife, then to Edmonton where I volunteering at the Tibetan Bazaar for two days and then back home!

Your organization is so impressive! I will also be in that part of Canada in September. Flying up to Fairbanks to meet my older son mid-September, then we are driving down to his new home in Tennessee. I'm looking forward to this road trip. Have a wonderful time on yours.

Shirfleur that sounds like so much fun! That is going to be a lot of driving and visiting with your son! Are you coming down the coast or cutting across into Alberta and Saskatchewan? It might be more efficient to come through Grande Prairie and Edmonton. I am going to try to send you a private message.
