I have a summer cold. Congestion, sore throat, sneezing, general aches headaches but no fever. I have to be careful not to use it as an excuse to eat comfort foods. I also reminded myself I tend to roller coaster in weight before I drop a few more pounds. I am trying not to get discouraged. Meanwhile, reminded myself to check for hidden sugar in the cold medicines here at the house. I need to find a good replacement for comfort eating. I may pull out the crochet hooks, or a book, or just find a good movie to watch. Mainly I will just keep reminding myself to be kind to myself but not stupid. This isn't an excuse to go back to old bad habits. Slow but steady, right?

Oh no! Poor you! Poor me too. I spent two hours of my morning waiting to see someone at the local urgent care for a UTI. I've been trying to wish this away for almost a week, but the sooner I get on an antibiotic, the sooner it can get gone. So I started five days of Keflex this morning. Yup - slow and steady for both of us. I hope we feel better soon. Hang in there!
