Just logging on to say i have finally figured out how to lose weight and maintain it without bouncing back up again. Some of you ladies might find this helpful because it could be something you havent considered yet. Eat according to your cycle. The two weeks after my period i am in a deficit (without counting, just knowing i am eating less and am less hungry) and the two weeks before my period i eat either maintenance calories or in a surplus. I end up not feeling like im restricting myself because im not being harsh. Lose about 1-1.5 kg in the first 2 weeks, then gain a bit less than a kg in the latter two weeks. This leaves me losing a slight amount every month but its super manageable.

Well done on finding what works for you. As women who menstruate our whole entire lives is actually dictated by our cycle and the sooner we 'submit' the better our lives will be. LOL for example, how productive we are and arent is influenced by our cycles... as women we absolutely need to listen to our bodies its just a pity we can't rest as often as our bodies need to (we need mandatory leave days for getting a period!) just thought I would add onto your knowledge. All of the best.

Exactly! Thats why i always recommend that women download cycle tracking apps like flo. Understanding just how much your life is influenced by your cycle changes everything. Anyone reading this, please for your own sake try to understand your body’s cues. As women, we have different levels of hormones EVERY DAY. Meaning your body is literally never consistent. Understand how to work with your body, not against it
