Do you mean pink pills as in AZO/pyridium? If not pyridium is great for UTI pain 

Cranberry juice or supplements are good for prevention, but don't drink cranberry juice with an active infection as it's like pouring acid on a wound. A teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water can give some relief to that burning, but don't overdo that. Goldenseal supplement taken twice daily for two weeks can help the body heal. UTI's will resolve on their own, but it's will take a couple of weeks. Drink lots of water. Sitting in a tub of warm water is soothing too, but be sure not to use soaps or additives in the bath water. 

I had a Dr tell me to add lemon to my water and that it was supposed to help too. 

If she just masks the symptoms with water, juice, OTC meds, she may unknowingly allow the infection to spread. I did this once and ended up with a kidney infection which was infinitely worse than a UTI 

She needs an antibiotic. Maybe check for local clinics 

go to the ED. If she has a uti she has to have an antibiotic or she can become septic 

I have to stress what others have said here-a UTI can become deadly. Medical attention is a must, not an option. How do you know she has a UTI?
