That's my routine every night lately! I've tried so many things but nothing works...I start waking up around 1230 am and finally get out of bed around 4 am...ugh! Hope you get better sleep tonight!

I'm almost 60...so menopause etc.... for awhile everything I ate gave me either heartburn or nausea, killer blood pressure and crappy sleep. I started eating better...no pharmacy foods I'm growing everything possible and eating as clean as possible. I have been doing it consistently for 2 months without going back to the poison. in this time I have not been dieting per se, I'm off my blood pressure pills, fewer aches and pains no more stomach issues and best of all I can sleep. even hot flashes are lessened. and the scale has gone down.

Chewing Jello... when I hit 50, suddenly I couldn't sleep more than 4 hours. I started dozing off while driving after 10 minutes. I talked to my GYN, and I didn't want anything addictive, so we settled on Benedryl. I took it at bedtime and immediately got 6 hours of sleep. Then, 8 hours. After a month on Benedryl, I stopped taking it and was able to retain my 8 hours of sleep. The GYN said that I retrained my sleep cycle. That was 20 years ago, and I'm getting fewer hours again. I'm going to start Benedryl again for a month to retrain my sleep cycle. I hope this works for you, too.

Chewing Jello... I forgot to mention that I cured my intense heartburn by eating an apple every day. It was quite by accident. My apple tree started producing, so I was munching an apple every day. After 2 weeks, I noticed that I hadn't had a nightly episode of heartburn. I couldn't believe it was the apples. To test it, I discontinued my Omeprazol. I continued eating an apple a day. No more heartburn! That was 15 years ago. No heartburn since then. When my apple tree suddenly died, 2 years ago, I continued eating apples from the store. Any type will do the job. It's the quercetin in the skin that soothes the GI tract. Even my Crohn's suffering friend had excellent results and tossed his Crohn's meds.
