I follow low carb and have done so for 5 years. Although some people say it’s bad, we are all different. My body just ‘works’ on low carb.
I think it depends on what you replace the carbs with? If you eat just bacon and Diet Coke & chunks of ham and cheese, low carb is probably bad for you🤪
But if you cut out refined grains, and eat eggs, lots of veggies, nuts and seeds, healthy meat, some dairy and good quality oils, it’s hard to see how that’s bad for you? My blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol are good. I eat unlimited quantities of veggies, lots of green veg, different seeds, eggs most days, olive oil, pilchards, lean pork etc etc.
Also ‘low carb’ means very different things to different people.
Keto- means less than 30g carbs a day. That isn’t for everybody!
Just ‘low carb’ meaning 50-150g a day carbs is probably where most people land and when you look at the ‘studies’ showing this is bad for you, most of them are sponsored by companies who want you to eat sugar and carbs and keep them rich 🤪
