3 bread, 4 ham slices & 2 cheese.
Had a second cheese cuz I saved cals w/mustard instead of mayo.
After recording the meal, I'm no longer sure if the fat/protein tradeoff is worth the second cheese.

I love love cheese, but you are right, it's high in calories just like butter. sigh... if only cheese was as low in calories as carbs.

I think it depends on the person honestly I don't find that eating fat (healthy fats) adds fat to my body if that makes sense provided the fat isn't just like greasy food. Because of being a cheese lover I've always kind of obsessed about being concerned about eating too much cheese, but it never seems to add any weight to my body granted I mostly eat aged cheeses such as cheddar rather than soft cheeses such as ricotta. Which is why I mentioned that it seems to be a person by person basis because a lot of other people have mentioned their concern over eating too much cheese. I myself try to focus more on my macros and staying within my calorie allotment, but when I was still trying to lose weight versus staying in maintenance I never found the cheese was an issue I would have stayed away from things like Mayo everyday. but then again I prefer mustard to Mayo and being a cheese lover adore cheese, 🧀 anyways so that may be a moot point. 😁 But like so many things you have to find what works for you best regardless of how well it may work for someone else if you can't do a long-term it doesn't matter. Still your meal looks really tasty and I hope you enjoyed it.

Chknchick... Yep .. both taste good, so that's probably what makes it harder to cut back on them... Gonna keep trying though.. 🙄😅

Leah... I haven't pinpointed the fat intake like that yet... Seems you're more aware of the various types than I am... Usually I just try to pic meals lower on calories and fat, but have higher protein.... Ham, turkey and chicken are all good choices, but the items that go with them are what brings in the fat & cals it seems... Ironically, the 3rd wheat bread may be enough to boost the protein without adding the 2nd cheese! ⚖️ 📉📈 🤔

Have you tried Kraft Mayo Reduced Fat with Olive Oil? I like the taste and it's only 50 calories per Tbsp (14 g)

Shirley... No, I haven't... My wife refuses to use any of the the lite Mayo's... Not a friendly enough topic for the grocery isle. I bought one a while back, and it's getting old... She recently agreed to using it ONLY with horseradish sauce for making her dip for chicken nuggets, fries and onion rings.... At least it won't be wasted. It's a step in the right direction..
