I’ve been so down lately. I don’t have a reason why. This is my favorite time of year too. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not hitting the gym like I should be. My fiancé told me to take a break for a bit to give my knee a rest but I’m thinking it’s because I haven’t been to the gym in a week that I feel down.

I hope you feel better soon. I had the same problem. I asked my orthopedic doctor and he said: First try RICE- Rest and protect the injured or sore area. Ice or a cold pack used as soon as possible. Compression, or wrapping the injured or sore area with an ace bandage. Elevation (propping up) the injured or sore area. When pain decreases he said I could slowly try an easy walk, no hills and if no swelling or pain, can try stationary bike slow rotation and/or swimming. If pain with swelling occurs after any knee exercise it’s time to see an orthopedic surgeon. Hope this helps! 🩷

Thing is, there is no swelling. Just pain and creaking and cracking.

My knee didn’t have any sound after I injured it, but if you haven’t been seen by your doctor yet, it may be a good idea. My husband urged me to see an orthopedic surgeon and I’m glad I went. I found out I had a meniscus tear. I had it repaired and it hasn’t bothered me since.
