So how do you make your pickles then? My family is just starting to make their own pickles. I thought it'd be a fun hobby to start for the winter it gets a little boring here where it gets so cold. I like to take everybody outside but the littles are too small to go outside for long periods of time their constitution is just not high enough. I thought it would be a great activity and the ferment dated foods are supposed to be extra healthy for people with illness. In addition, I thought it would be a good activity for Ayla and Ryan to start bonding a little bit more as now that ayla's getting older they don't have as many things that they're doing together. So what kind of recipes do you use when you're pickling veggies? I don't know much about pickling anyways so I would love to learn what you like to do.

Please remember to include any kind of special instructions that you probably wouldn't think of as abnormal because I am very new. Like sterilizing jars the type of salts or vinegars that you would use basically that kind of stuff. Because I may not know the basics like you do. 🙏🍲🧂🥚

When I said stores I meant chain stores like meijer. I didn’t make these hehe. Got it from an Asian market. It’s kinda like pickle for it’s sweetness, saltiness, and a bit spicy but it’s technically pickled mustard stem (zha cai) instead of cucumber.
