Today I hit the 50 pounds lost mark and it is the 10 month mark of the beginning of my journey of health (I started May 23, 2022).
I feel really good. My health has improved so much! I can't wait to see how much better I feel after I've lost another 50 pounds.
Things I have learned: *It's about the overall trend, not the daily fluctuations. *NSV are equally important as pounds lost. *It is crucial to find a WOE that is sustainable and something I can stick with for the rest of my life, otherwise, I'll end up right back where I started. *I need to give myself grace. It took decades for the damage to be done. It's going to take a few years for me to accomplish my goals and heal. *Never compare myself to anyone else. I'm on my own journey, it's unique, and that means it won't look like anyone else's. And that's ok. It's supposed to be like that.
