Still doing OK. It's been a rough couple weeks: My PCP took me off daily Allegra, insisting that I would do fine just with a prescription nasal spray. Almost immediately, I had a horrible allergic reaction to of all things, an aging space heater that started smelling. Before I could throw it out, all the congestion that's been stuck in my sinuses and ears and larynx since I had COVID in December started draining out, and I developed a cough so dramatic I couldn't really go anywhere for fear of scaring people. I am finally getting back to normal, but it's been a full 3 weeks, and it's been exhausting. I'm pretty proud that except for the expected birthday celebration events I have stayed on course throughout this period. Very happy with myself... not expecting big results at the end of the month. I'm trying to be realistic: I want to lose 77 pounds from my starting point of 222. I'm pacing myself. If I lose 5 pounds each month, it will take me a little more than 15 months. I'm comfortable with that.
