Nothing like a family medical emergency to test one's commitment to eating healthy. Without too many details, my 87 yr old independent mom-in-law got dehydrated, which led to UT infecton, which led to dizzy spell, which led to passing out, which led to 26 stitches in the head and 2 units of blood, and a head trauma (and all the fun that comes with that). We have been living in the hospital since Tuesday night, and have been eating out for every meal. Thus my couple of days exceeding my RDI. Gotta say it has been overwhelming and I came close to what might be a binge one day... I ate 8 oreo type cookies one day but, I was not looking for comfort food... I just did not feel like cooking when I was home. Interesting to note the immediate affects on my body function. Chicken biscuits, pan pizza and the like resulted in lack of energy, mild constipation and burping! Back in the groove now with oat meal and egg whites and feel better already.

On the clothing front, wife ordered me a pair of 33 waist jeans from American Eagle and they fit comfortably, even though all my khaki's are 34 waist. I will weigh in one day officially. Been checking at different times and fluctuates between 195 -200 lbs.

No gym in over 3.5 weeks... need it!
