Just a few musings to journal. Nothing outstanding has been going on...just maintaining the insanity :-)
Daughters ear and adenoid surgery went well on Monday. She's a tough little 22 month old. The ear tubes they put in 10 months ago didn't work right so we had to do it again. It was a crazy morning of getting her to hospital, hubby getting home from the midnight shift and then getting my son to school and STILL meeting us at the hospital for post-op. So glad to have that day behind us.
He'll be traveling now for the next couple of weeks. I get to be a single mom for a while, but we've learned to manage. My son does a really great job of stepping up and being a bit more responsible when my husband is out of town. I'm sure glad I've been blessed with good kids.
Still able to sneak in workouts on my lunch hour. I've been doing some 30 minute routines that combine a little bit of running and a little bit of strength. Never boring and there are so many ways to change things up.
ATF, I've done better and I've done worse. This morning I made it a point to sit down and eat breakfast. It was on my mind that I still hand lunches to pack and kids to get moving, but I also need to make sure I start my day off right...and sometimes that means just taking time for a meaningful meal for myself.
I've been peeking in on buddy journals over the past couple of days. It's so good to hear about your days...the good and the bad. Thanks for sharing.
