Date night was AMAZING! My dress is the only item of clothing that I own that actually fits me. I was beautiful, regal, classy, and elegant. I have never felt better. So many times I've dressed up, put make up on, did my hair all nice but couldn't pull it all together to feel perfect. Even on my wedding day, I didn't feel beautiful. Last night - everything came together. I felt like I was desirable. I want to feel like that all the time!
I mentally prepared for the fact that dinner would be a high calorie event. I made an honest attempt to log my food just so I could understand the damage that can be done in one meal. I used to eat like this daily... no wonder I was huge! Stuffed mushroom appetizer, a glass of wine, side salad w/ blue cheese dressing, steak and baked potato w/ sour cream and chives, dinner roll, another glass of wine, and peanut butter ice cream cake. I logged 2500 calories... it could easily have been 3500, who really knows? It was all part of the great experience. I only regret eating the dinner roll, it wasn't necessary. The real question is how do you recover from such an event? Do you detox on veggies for 3 days? Do you work out for hours to burn off the calories? OR do you just shake it off, and understand that this week will be without a loss?
