Walked with my buddy on my morning break today, and got in a nice 7+ mile bike ride (stationary bike) on my lunch hour today. It's amazing how much better I can tolerate the workplace when I get out for some activity.
ATF - Being a part of the "Process That" challenge has forced me to make some changes to my food choices; but they should be for the better. The number I'm focusing on now is that sodium number. Amazing what foods contain it! Last night, I opted for no bun/bread with my turkey burger because it seemed like a waste. Instead, I just topped my burger with avocado and mushrooms, and added a side of cottage cheese and Beanitos chips. I'll take the sodium from those choices instead of bread.
Middle of the week and the kiddos are starting to show signs of fatigue. My son has had a hard time adapting to the homework routine, so we told him if he gets his homework done at the after-school program instead of bringing it home this week, we'd take him roller skating. So far, we are 2 for 2! But, tonight might be a challenge for him as he was pretty tired at drop-off this morning. My daughter slept until 6:15 today...she's usually up with me at 5:30. It's just a little off, but enough to tell me that she's starting to tire from the weeks routine, too.
My little dog visited me this morning. As some of you might remember, I had to put him to sleep earlier this month. It has made my heart very happy today to have been 'visited' by him this morning. He jumped up on my bed and cuddled up between my husband and me. I knew it was a dream so I didn't want to reach down to pet him and find out he wasn't there...but in the dream when I did finally reach down to him - I got to feel and rub his soft, furry head. I'm at peace again today. He's doing fine...and can jump again.
Sunny and beautiful this week and looks to continue through the weekend in this part of the world. We hope to get out and enjoy the local 'corn maze' with the kids.
