I'm struggling. Plateau for 3 months. Weight is 46/47kg. I dropped calories to 500 and recently went as high as 2000 and still nothing. I walk 8km daily. Weekends I walk 13km or 25km. Any ideas are welcome.

Dropping to 500 calories a day is extremely unhealthy. Your weight already sounds quite low. How tall are you?

Also, try adding resistance excercises. Cardio is good and all, but building some muscle is important.

I'm pretty short. 143cm. I'm 33 years old. I'm using the ponderal index to determine my healthy weight. According to the ponderal index I'm still overweight. I look chubby too so I agree. According to the BMI I'm in the top percentile of those in healthy weight for my height. Thank you for the suggestions. I'll be sure to incorporate them.

under 1000cal you wont loose. Intermit fast to trigger weightloss again.

@MANDISAC - I don't have advice as such, but just to say it does sometimes happen ❤️ I plateaued for 7 months of this year, and I also tried everything, upping cals, down cals, exercise, no exercise...I just had to wait it out. When you short sometimes it's like 1 kg up looks like 5kg. I'm 163cm so WAY taller than you 🤣 and yet still "short".

Also I don't know whether I can say it works for everyone, but intermittent fasting is supposed to help

I agree with PhatTurks, you've lost almost 30% of your body weight in 6 months - that's incredible! you are now in the normal weight range for your height according to any BMI chart - give yourself a big pat on the back! 500 calories is crazy low and impossible to sustain - you can still maintain a small calorie deficit if you want to which should be easy considering how active you are and just enjoy feeling good in your new healthy and fit body.

Agreed! Sometimes we obsess about the scale. You really do sound like you're at a healthier weight and maybe if its the excess fat you're worried about start exercises that build muscle and sculpt.

You have to eat more calories. Eating 500 calories is dangerous and probabky messed up your metabolism now you have to go on a journey to fix it. It has slowed down a lot. The amount of exercise you do is making your body demand more calories if it doesn't receive it will hold on to fat because it will be afraid it might not get calories again. Thank you for all the comments. I certainly have to enjoy the gains I've made so far also. The suggestions are so welcome, I was at my wits end over what die issue is. If you have any advices that can benefit the FS group, please post them on the wall.
