A big breakfast doesn't help weight loss. I always ate a bunch of food toward the end of the day, regardless of whether or not I've eaten breakfast. I did that as a result of my previous days working a 12 hour shift, where I'd eat nothing all day, then a huge dinner, complete with seconds and sometimes thirds. I stayed thin then. Not now.

I've oftentimes heard that a big breakfast will keep hunger away in the later hours, but that's just not the case with me. Any time I've eaten breakfast, a meal for which I generally do not care to eat, I've gained weight. Studies now agree with me! Yay! According to Science Daily, studies showed that people who ate breakfasts ate the same for lunch and dinner whether they ate it or not.

I'll eat when I'm hungry, but that's when I'll eat healthy foods. I think that works best for me.

Great advice I think. just eat when you are hungry. And also burn more than you eat (in calories) - I heard.

Thanks for that. I sometimes do not fancy breakfast, or eat about 11 ish.... I always feel I am doing wrong for skipping or delaying, so this research is good news. Also, I find if I eat a good breakfast it seems to kick in hunger pangs later on in the morning, which I then have to try and resist. Whereas if I eat later or skip breakfast I am ok.
