Hi Irma. Just a recommendation.. But instead of restricting/eliminating peanut butter, why not work it into your calorie budget. Anything that you restrict will eventually lead to binge on it. Peanut butter is not all bad, especially if you go for the sugar- and salt-free one. It is high in carbs and fat yes, but it's a good pre-workout snack with eg an apple, to give you the needed energy to fuel a workout (or beat the midday slump). The calories of the sugar free one compared to the ones containing sugar are more or less the same, but what makes it better, is that the calories come from the natural fat (oil) of the peanuts, and not from added sugar and salt. Just listen to your body and give it what it wants, but in moderation, and I promise your cravings and urges and lack of control will improve :)

I love peanut butter. I usually have it for breakfast on some rice cakes topped with a banana and a drizzle of honey. Works out to about 234 calories

Buy the sugar free one. It has less calories. And then only add like a spoon per day on your meals.

I hear you guys, and I'm going to try each one of your suggestions just to find a healthier alternative that suits me, so thank you kindly!
I love it with cheese, fruits, salted chips or AS IS and I'm not prepared to give it up entirely. Haha I'm so glad I'm not alone in this PB struggle! 😅

It’s ok to fall off the wagon. Tomorrow is another day. Deprivation leads to binges so have an agreement with your self that the journey may take a bit longer but it will be beneficial to have a slight calorie deficit then starving. Peanut butter can be eaten once a week on rice cakes. Allow yourself the foods you live. It makes the process easier.
