I’m back to where I started….3 years after reaching my goal of 125. My dad died in January from covid…we were so close…part of me died with him. I had gained back about half of my weight before he passed but was proud of myself for staying around 140. Since January I’ve just turned to food and being lazy to cope I guess. I hate how I feel…lazy, tired and weak. I’m kind of a mess but hope I can start to heal and take better care of my body and hopefully my emotional state will follow.

Aww, I was thinking about you a few weeks back. Sorry to hear about your dad. Time to rise from the darkness and push forward with your life. You know he'd want the best for you.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Losing a love is emotionally difficult. I always imaging them wanting me to live my best life and cheering me on as I accomplish goals in life. Try remembering their love for you and make them proud. Hang in there. And, find some light to shine into your dark places.

So sorry for your loss. Taking care of yourself physically will help you - slowly but surely. You've done it before, you can do it again.

My sister died over 5 years ago, and I still miss her so much - even though she lived in California and I live in Virginia. So sorry for your loss!

Grief is real and doesn’t turn off like a light switch. Physical activity that got me through is picking up a pillow and repeatedly slamming it into the ground. Does your area have a grief support group? Local hospitals or hospice can help local these.

I'm sorry for your loss. Life does go on and time will help you to heal. The sooner you can return to how you used to live, all the better. Wishing you well.

Do what you need to do to help you through. No guilt. Awareness is this step in your healing. Ever forward.

Losing a parent is one of the toughest things any of us will ever deal with. Everybody deals with grief in different ways. Some of us cope by finding comfort in what is most comforting to us - eating. Even though you have now been through the most difficult phase of the grieving process, you will forever have that empty place that your dad left behind, and the only thing that can fill it are the memories of your time together. So, how successful we are in this life transformation depends on how well we find comfort in fond memories instead of food. Easier said than done, but it will come. Praying for you.

I’m so sorry for your loss, but realizing that you need change is the first step to bettering yourself. You’ve accomplished your goal before and that means you can do it again. You got this and we all believe in you. Do what you need to do to better yourself, and take it one day at a time. Growth and healing takes time❤️

I lost my mother 8 years ago and started an unhealthy spiral. Its something I will never forget. But health problems was at my front door and I knew I had to make some changes and deal with my grief in a healthier way so I started my journey in 2016 slowly and steady, I started out at 296 lbs.and have lost about 74. I have at least 45 more lbs to get to my goal weight. Its a lifestyle change for me. Sending prayers 🙏 your way. You will get through this day by day.

Grief can definitely make taking care of yourself seem pointless and eating can feel like such a comfort. You're warm and full and it tastes good and nothing else seems to feel good so you keep going. I know all too well how you're feeling but you can definitely do this

You can do it. Dealing with death and aging or sick parents is a challenge. Just starting my step back to fitness. Your dad would have wanted the best version of yourself. Keep at it girl..you can do it.

Your emotional state will improve, believe me. I lost my husband the night before Thanksgiving 2020 and I didn't think I would, could, or wanted to move forward. After much prayer and "talking with my love" I know without a doubt that my Savior and soul mate want great things for me. I will not let them down. Grace and peace to you! If you need a shoulder, don't hesitate to message me.

You’re having a normal reaction to grief. Don’t be so hard on yourself. When you’re feeling emotionally healthy again you can concentrate on your physical health, and it sounds like you’re working on it. I’m so very sorry for your loss. We have one father and one mother and there can be no one to replace either one. However you are going to get to a place where you smile when you remember your dad. You will still miss him, but there won’t be that overwhelming grief that has consumed your life fir the last several months.
