Is it 1200 or 1500 calories we need to stay under to lose weight?

Mayo Clinic has a calorie calculator you put the weight you want to be and it will tell you how many calories you can eat a day just in case you would like to check it out

Hi Emerald :) I agree with what Tim said. I currently am only getting excercise from housework, dog walks and yard work so I am trying to stay under 1500 calories. Once I add in some form of regular excercise I will probably increase calories as well. Also I think our metabolisms fluctate along with our health. When I am eating healthy and excercising it def. seems like I can eat more.
