Turns out the grandboy was sick today so that visit was scuttled. With the day free and clear, I pedaled to the shrine which I haven't done in at least 3 years. A bit warm today. It was 92 by the time I got home 22 miles later. Downright chilly compared to Portland in late June. Cubs are in Cincy so Wrigleyville was eerily quiet. Weird place: seats 40,000 with parking for none. That's a life-sized bronze of Mr. Cub behind me. When I was 10, Ernie was my absolute idol. He played 1st base and wore #14 and so did I!. Boy's day out next weekend. My son and son-in-law are taking me to a game. We'll be on one of the rooftops and its gonna be epic! Carry on with the patriotic festivities FS friends. Holiday Monday tomorrow. Life is short so play hard.
