So excited...finally convinced my hubby to join me on WW!!! We don't attend meetings or anything but I still have all my books and things since I did the program the first time and we were able to calculate his points and everything. He just started counting points on Monday but so far he's sticking with it. I'm proud of him for trying, he's never been the dieting type but said he was inspired by how well I've been able to do on WW now and in the past.

I hope he sticks with it...his family has a history of heart and blood pressure problems, apnea and extreme acid reflux, and as we all know being overweight really compounds those issues. Now that we have a child to care for, I really want us both to lose weight, not for vanity but for health reasons. I want us both to be around for a very long time...long enough to meet our son's grandchildren someday!

It was just like quitting smoking for me...once I had a reason (pregnancy) it was easy to quit. I didn't want to be a "lifetime" smoker and expose my son to those terrible toxins his whole life, so when I decided to have a baby that was it. I quit smoking that day and haven't picked up one since...and never intend to again. I just hope the weight loss comes as easy to me! Food is a little more difficult since you can't just say "I'm never going to eat again!" :) I LOVE food, especially sweets and anything carb-loaded and fried, so it's a daily struggle for me to give up those things. But I just keep telling myself...it's all for that beautiful little boy. And not even ice cream and french fries can compare to my love for him. :)
