Thanks! This is an adapted version of Nigellas crab mac & cheese. I use semi skimmed milk and less cheese, cheddar not gruyere, but it is still really tasty and satisfying!

I've had to stop eating pasta as it just gives me an insulin spike and makes me feel even hungrier. Looks good though.

Steelydan, it's good to have identified foods that do that to you. For me it is bread, and pasta to a lesser extent. With growing kids in the house and needing to keep to a budget, there's a role for pasta in my meal planning but I always make sure I cook just the right portion size and always as an evening meal so there is less time for blood sugar munchies! I've found the carb load is helpful the night before my weights workout to give me a boost.

Another thing I would say is that I've found the blood sugar effect of pasta is less if I cook proteins in with it.
