So the LCD on kitchen scale just decided to break. I feel so anxious at the thought of not weighing my food before I eat it. Will order a nice one that I saw on takealot, just waiting till morning to see if my old faithful performs a miracle 👀

Thanks ladies. The one I have now is also from clicks BUT woke up to a nice a surprise, it’s alive 🤩🤩 and seems to be working fine 😂

Clicks scales win again!
My gran did weigh less for many many years. Her trick was to always use the same serving spoon for her meals so when she weighed her food she also had a visual cue to what the volume looked like. That way when she was without a scale (holidays or it broke) she could do safe guesstimates of her portions (yes, that meant she travelled with her serving spoon, she was committed). The lady was epic. She was a lingerie model in her 20's after serving in the war from the age of 15 (she lied to get in). She lived to the grand age of 89 (shy of 90 by a week).

I'm still sitting with a manual clicks diet scale... Been working Iike a donkey except that it only came with one bowl.. It's glued with super glue 😁... Love the spoon idea shereen...wow a role model gran...💕

That sounds like a fantastic idea Shereen, thank you so much. However, I’m a bit obsessive, I take my scale with me wherever I go, even to friends braais and on vacation 😂😂😂 your gran sounds amazing!!! ❤️❤️❤️

@lessthan15, this scale of mine is also pretty old, I think going on 4-5 years. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to one of those fancy ones that measure in mls but I can’t justify spending the money, especially if I have a scale that works just fine. I do want to get one of those spoon scales? Not sure what they’re called.. those look fantastic 🤪
