Feel q bit discouraged. I do so well from Monday to Friday and then I binge on the weekends. Anyone have tips how to deal with this?

I definitely see my intake spike over weekends as I am more snacky then.. I find if I "save up" some calories over the week it's ok and don't seem to see huge spikes. I try keep what my snacks are on plan as much as possible. Hope this helps a bit

Weekends are also my downfall. What I found helps for me is to be as planful as possible so that I know what healthy snacks I have on hand for when temptation strikes, and to also drink a glass of water before deciding if I really need a snack or if I was maybe just a bit thirsty.

Some people do similar to Tarryn, allowing for more or even planning in your calories for the splurge. Also look for alternatives naybe as wekeend treats eg diet Coke or woolies nachos instead of chips etc. Also for me being sure to stick to a good protein rich breakfast!!

I find biltong sticks, OH MEGA Almond nut butter and even slices of cheese are good snacking options.

Is it not okay to binge on weekends.I heard it helps with the metabolism?

I have no idea.. But I like to try and factor it in so that my overall calories for the week still balance out if possible..sometimes it's not and I am just over.

Keep as active as you can on weekends. Go run or go for a hike. You could try kickboxing? I just keep busy and distract myself best I can when I want to take part in a binge.

I try to stay busy and keep out of the kitchen because I have the exact same problem ☹️

My binging unfortunately messes up my whole weeks work. I'll only lose about 300g where I'm suppose to lose a kg a week

What helps for me is to see Saturday as a normal weekday, so I eat as I normally would. I deliberately drop my calories a bit more for Saturday. Come Sunday, go for it (within limits of course - I would treat myself to a whole pizza and a burger and chips later on, lol.) Also, weighing on Sunday mornings before I binge is another mind trick I use, since all those carbs will of course make me retain a ton of water on Monday :)

Look up volume eating, it allows you to eat a lot of food while remaining within your daily calorie intake. It's a win win situation
