Tonight I faced a challenge I have avoided since I started my weight loss last summer--a very large party full of lots of rich desserts, fattening dips, loads of carbs and alcohol! I have been avoiding these situations until I felt in control. I zeroed in on what I could have instead of what I could not . Wish I had brought a veggie tray as there was none to be found. Instead I snacked on grilled chicken, fruit and a glass of wine. I did not feel tempted so I consider this a success!

Way to go! I deal with the same thing at work with potlucks and such. Last time PTO just ordered salad (yay) and pizze/pasta/breadsticks (boo). I was good, I had a salad with just a fistful of pasta. There wasn't anything in the salad that would have sustained me without eating SOMETHING else lol.

Wtg Rob...funny, I've been wondering how you've been doing. I haven't been here in 2 months...well, really since December 7. Trying Paleo...it has a little more flexibility than straight low-carbs. Glad to see you are doing well. Keep inspiring!!
