I have cravings!!! 😭 someone talk me out of baking a moist chocolate cake!!!!

I agree with Georgie. dark chocolate. or .... brush your teeth. if the craving is strong, I find a fresh mouth tends to neutralise it for me long enough that the initial snack attack is put at bay... or just eat the cake, be happy, live life and carry on Tomorrow.🥰

Thanks shereen. I did the chocolate thing. It did help alot. Pushed me over my RDI with a little less than 100 kcal. But its ok. I know 100kcal isn't the worst. The cake would've pushed me far over. Close to 300kcal. I'm saving the cake for the weekend.

Sometimes it's better in the long run to satiate a craving in exchange for a few calories, because your average for the week should comfortably level out. Denying yourself for too long only leads to epic and guilt ridden binge sessions. So a little treat here and there takes the edge off and can help to keep the monster silent 🦖 that also helps train yourself to make it "healthy lifestyle" for the long run, rather than the "quick fix" diet mentality.

Thank Blighted Mother. I come from a long line of eating disorders and chronic bipolar depressed people. My dad passed because of complications from being morbidly obese, my sister has had stomach surgery to lose weight. The list goes on. I struggle with binge eating and secret eating... It's taken me quite literally years to reframe my mental health issues around disordered eating to have a more positive and ultimately healthy mindset about it. So the advise is very much experience based 🥰

I'm sorry to hear shereen. But bad experiences shape us to become better people. And you have surely made your bad experiences work for you instead of against you. You really are inspirational.

Absolutely. There is a great quote that I love. "You inherit your passed, but create your own future" we don't have to live the pain of our families. We can choose our own happiness!

Amen to that! We choose to take the right path in regards to our own individual bodily and mental health. We don't have to inherit the demons of our forefathers.
