I got home late last night and I didn't work out. Geez, by the time I was done with making dinner (Shrimp Fra Diavolo over Penne), it was 9:00!!! I had to turn down UConn Mens tickets vs. Rutgers tonight due to a number of reasons, including the fact that I cannot miss my workout again this evening.
Someone had a forum topic about falling in love with running. I haven't done that exactly, but I do feel horrendous now when I miss a planned workout. I just feel so much better about everything after a good 40 minute ride.
Connecticut is looking at 12-18 inches tomorrow. No excuses not to work out. Unfortunately, there is every excuse to boredom-eat whatever is in my refrigerator.

Maybe you will get a workout shoveling the snow. We are not expecting that much in Ohio... but I've got a freaking long driveway. I wear a Fitbit and last time I shoveled out I walked over a mile doing it!

Umm. . .that shrimp dish sounds fantastic! AND *that* is committment if you turn down tix for exercise - kudos :)
I am a fairly new runner and I have to say that I've fallen in love with it too. Never, ever thought I would but I guess most runners say that. Once you've made exercise a habit, it does feel bad when you miss it (lack of endorphins, probably?).
I used to live in the Midwest and so I vividly remember snow and cold. Again, kudos to you if you still exercise! I now live in a sunny, warm area and it still can be a struggle. And since I'm a foodie I don't need an excuse to eat :p
Sounds like you are very determined so just keep it up! We're all in the same boat.

I have a snow blower, but it is still activity (walking). My driveway is on a hill and I have to control the thing, because it is not always in gear. I do have to shovel the walks and normally work up a decent sweat, but it is nothing like the bike.

Shrimp has become one of my favorite ingredients. The Fra Diavolo is from this site, but I use less oil and fresh tomatoes. I'm not gonna lie though, it takes some time to make because of the prep, but it is soooo worth it.
