Goal 1 accomplished. I am exactly 200 lbs today. I have to admit, I was secretly hoping it would say 199 (who wouldn't, right?). I am happy. It's taken ten days to lose 12.6 pounds. Ready for round two! Bring it on!

GREAT JOB! Congratulations on hitting your first mini-goal! [It really DOES help to set many smaller goals instead of looking at the daunting task of losing the whole amount!] I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT! [So what if it's only 'water weight' - at least you've unloaded those pounds!] Once your weight loss slows down, just add 15-30 minutes of moderate walking each day, and it'll kick-start your metabolism... Also, I wanted to tell you about a website that I've found to be EXTREMELY enlightening... [dianepetrella.com] Get on her emailing list, and she sends out free tips! She deals mainly with the WHY's about our difficulties and she deals heavily in the psychological realm of things. [One of her tips is NOT call it 'losing' weight, as that implies that you want to 'find it' again... she calls it 'releasing' the weight...] Anyway, check her out! Her program is largely responsible for my successes! Her main focus is about getting the weight off and KEEPING IT OFF! [I know I have, personally, been 'thin' about 5-6 times in my life, and each time I reached my goal, I just went back to overeating again! She helps you stop that eat - repent - repeat cycle...] More about that in my next journal...

Jillzee - go to www.freedieting.com Just plug your info and it will tell you how many calories for you to lose weight and maintain your weight. I lost 30lbs from July to Oct 2013 on a low cal/low carb diet. Protein only for breakfast & lunch and pull in carbs during the evening meal. It works!

great job...my interest is peaked with what you eat... i actually like a low calorie diet... but i find myself gravitating more towards the low carb... i do well on low carb when i am into it but how long have you been doing the ultra low carb... and how do you susstain it... long term... very interested!!
