I am doing so poorly it is embarrassing. Of course I have reasons but I really don't have any excuses. Bugger!

Nice drop! If I might make a suggestion...try tracking your macro nutrients. This app makes it easy. Make sure you're eating enough protein. It should help your blood sugar remain more stable for a longer period of time. Be patient with your weightloss!!! It's normal to see fluctuations. Even if the scale doesn't show a loss your body is recomposing itself. So don't give up. It's going to take time but it doesn't mean you have to cut out all foods you enjoy! And did I say it's going to take time?! Be kind to yourself and have patience!!! Yes, said that twice because you will get frustrated but you can do it if you are consistent, patient and kind to yourself!!!

You can do this. Tracking helps me a lot. I know carbs are what I crave but also they are what keep me from losing. Have you been able to figure out what works best for your weight loss that didn't make you crazy in the process?

Welcome. I think the most important thing I want to convey is to look at this process as a lifestyle change not a “diet”. Develop a way of eating (WOE) that you can live with for life. Diets that are so very rigid that you are forbidden to eat some of your favorite things once in a while is not sustainable. Recording what you eat is so important. I weigh everything in grams. If you don’t know what and how much you are actually eating on a daily basis it’s hard to develop a workable eating plan. Personally I do portion control and moderation. That includes lower carbs, but not no carbs, good fats, good healthy protein. Healthier food most of the time and less healthy once in a while. You can do this . This does not have to be a penalizing process. Consistency is key. I look forward to following your journey.
